A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in Dr. Yi Huang’s lab at the Department of Internal Medicine, Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa. This position will focus on studying the epigenetic roles of histone modifications in breast cancer development and therapeutic response, aiming to uncover novel mechanisms that contribute to breast cancer tumorigenesis and therapeutic resistance. The principal investigator's lab is supported by NIH funding and has extensive experience in breast cancer biology, utilizing a broad range of experimental techniques, including genomic and epigenomic analyses, in vivo animal models, and high-throughput screening, to investigate the mechanisms underlying breast cancer progression and therapeutic resistance. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Biomedical Sciences, with a strong research background and a good publication record in cancer research and anticancer drug development. A solid foundation in molecular biology and cancer pharmacology is essential, with specific emphasis on techniques such as cell culture, molecular cloning, and the use of animal models.
